I’m Nini, the creator of NinisChinese. After more than fifteen years as a head teacher in a Bay Area Montessori school, I developed a bilingual program that proved both engaging and effective for young learners. Earlier in my career, I worked in publishing, where I reviewed many Chinese learning materials—and realized how few truly met the needs of children growing up in English-speaking environments. That gap inspired NinisChinese, a digital learning space designed to make Chinese practical, interactive, and accessible.
Born and raised in Beijing and rooted in the San Francisco Bay Area for over two decades, I’ve come to appreciate how being bilingual opens a window into worlds of thought and culture. Outside the classroom, I love exploring new places—whether hiking the highlands of Scotland or climbing Machu Picchu, or getting lost in vibrant cities like Paris and Tokyo—each journey reminds me how language connects us beyond borders and brings the world a little closer.
