I am a Head teacher of a well respected private school in Pleasanton, California where I implemented and manage a successful Chinese Immersion program. I have over 12 years of teaching experience with children from pre-school to the eighth grade level.
Inspired by the wonderful accolades and feedback from student’s parents and peers I now offer my Chinese language expertise in one-on-one instruction or small group format to Elementary through High School students who want to learn Chinese.

From my experience, there are many ways to ‘learn’, the key is understanding what woks best for your child. I believe in an encouraging and nurturing environment. And through the challenge of learning a new language, I strive to help developing minds to discover his/her own way of thinking and hopefully to develop a life long appreciation of their own learning process.
My focus is on modern communication skills. While Chinese calligraphy is impressive (and important from a cultural perspective), it is not practical. Instead I focus on the essential writing tools for today: computers/mobile devices. Once a student has mastered language and input they will have the same fundamental communication skills of any modern Chinese native.
